Have you ever told them how much you admire and appreciate their
relationship?
[Peter only asked because he wish he had the chance to tell Uncle
Ben that. Or his parents, he assumed they had a great relationship from
what Aunt May said.]
No, I haven't. I mean I do admire it but - I can't wrap my head around the
Jon thing and I think I'd be unable to avoid bringing that up and it would
just be bad.
[It was hard to reconcile, for her. Her parents clearly loved,
trusted, valued each other, but her father had cheated once and her
mother had been awful to Jon, even though it wasn't his fault, and it was
just weird for her to have all three of those facts in her head at the same
time.]
[Peter honestly didn't think about that all that much and he'd never
been able to bring himself to ask about it. Mostly because he just couldn't
picture Arya's dad being unfaithful and like Arya didn't really want to dig
into it.]
We can just take the good stuff we see them do that works for us.
I just... it doesn't fit and I want to understand and I know I'll ask about
it but I also really don't want to ask about it or understand.
[No, she didn't really want to dig into it. She was pretty sure all
her siblings had individually decided to think about it as little as they
possibly could, but, being so close to Jon, it was hard for her to put it
completely out of her mind.]
[Not that her parents couldn't be silly at times but they were
definitely not as silly as Peter and Arya. And that was fine, to each their
own, but Peter liked that about the two of them.]
Fancy dress to all night diners and Halloween costumes on random days and
who knows what else we'll come up with. Oh, Halloween costumes on Christmas
eve, that'd be fun.
Family appropriate ones with the kids, when that time comes - [And
look, it's even getting easier for her to say things like that in person,
she's almost made eye contact] - and the other kind for just us
until then and then after they've gone to bed.
Actually I guess we could just start BOTH this upcoming Christmas.
Uhh, wait, what kind of costumes are you thinking of that aren't family
appropriate?
[Because Peter was doubly interested in that idea now. Obviously
they wouldn't wear those sorts around their family but he was very curious
to know what kind of costumes she meant. Also it got them away from the
"when we have kids" part of that, even though she did well with it.]
Like the one I wore on Halloween. They do make Christmas themed ones. Or
your nurse costume. Or just carefully chosen bits of actually appropriate
costumes, now I think about it.
[Peter really liked when they did stuff that was "extra" sexy. Not
that she didn't have some regular clothes that made him lose his mind but
there was something about a special outfit that was fun in a different
way.]
Oh, yes, I noticed you did. Fuck, that was an excellent night.
[Arya's just going to need a couple minutes with that memory before
she said anything else.]
I guess I basically just think Christmas eve sex like that should be an us
tradition, alongside the other traditions we're setting up.
Hmm, that's a difficult choice. I think it's a three way tie between the
look in your eyes when I finally convinced you to rip it plus the actual
ripping, and when we fell asleep after round - which one was it? - and then
you woke me up like an hour later by rolling me over and dragging my ass up
into the air and sliding right back inside me, and the teeth marks you left
on the inside of my thighs. Or maybe the sound you made when I climbed on
top of you after all that. Impossible choice, really.

All time best story.

Oh. I guess that makes sense.

Plus we'll do more silly stuff than them.
[Not that her parents couldn't be silly at times but they were definitely not as silly as Peter and Arya. And that was fine, to each their own, but Peter liked that about the two of them.]
no subject
Yes, we will.
[That was a pretty perfect response, in her opinion. A perfect redirection of her train of thought.]
We'll do WAY more silly stuff.
no subject
Like we'll wear weird outfits.
[Peter figured that talking about weird stuff they were going to do was a good transition.]
Or normal outfits in unusual situations.

Yes! THat should be a family tradition!
Costumes on Christmas Eve

What was your favorite part?
[Peter happily nuzzled her as she thought about that.]
We could get each other outfits as early presents?
no subject
Hmm, that's a difficult choice. I think it's a three way tie between the look in your eyes when I finally convinced you to rip it plus the actual ripping, and when we fell asleep after round - which one was it? - and then you woke me up like an hour later by rolling me over and dragging my ass up into the air and sliding right back inside me, and the teeth marks you left on the inside of my thighs. no subject
Oh yeah. I was having dreams about your ass and woke up and just... I needed it so, so badly like that.
[And he was glad they'd had the "if you want to go for it in the middle of the night that's fine" conversation.]
no subject
I love it when you need it so, so badly. Especially when I get to just be completely surprised by it.
[She stretched, smirking not unlike the cat that got the canary, satisfied all over again at the memory.]
no subject
[He had to growl a little at the stretching and the memory.]
I like being able to surprise you like that! For lots of different reasons.
no subject
Where does getting to be inside me rank among those different reasons?
no subject
Ummmmmm...
[That was a good question. It was a really hard question though.]
Tied for the top? Sometimes it's the top and sometimes it's second place.
no subject
[Oddly, she hadn't expected it to get first. Now that he's answered, though, she isn't sure why she didn't expect it to be top of the list.]
What beats it, when it's second place?
no subject
Making you happy. Just... I really love making you happy.
[Just thinking about it made him feel all warm and fuzzy. It was ridiculous.]
no subject
Oh, I should have already known that.
[That explained why she hadn't expected it to get first.]
I know you do. I didn't know it could make anybody so happy to make someone else happy until I met you.
no subject
Yeah I'm full of surprises like that.
[Peter was pretty sure that she felt the same way about him, he knew how much she liked making him happy.]
So sometimes it's very selfish and sometimes it's selfless.
